Dear Sunrise Family,

Last weeks changed your same as our lives upside down. The situation with coronavirus epidemic has reached the entire world that is struggling now to overcome the crisis. Isolation, personal protective equipment, many restrictions, fear and uncertainty of tomorrow. This is how life of each of us looks today.

This is an extremely difficult time. We are afraid for health and life of all our beloved ones. We have to stand and fight with an invisible enemy that we know almost nothing about. One thing is certain – the virus spreads quickly among larger human gatherings. Based on that our government’s decision about mass events cancellation in Poland which was introduced on March 10th is more than clear.

Despite of this till the end we believed that the situation would not affect our plans and we would celebrate our eighteenth birthday edition together. That is why we have been working hard for many months to create this unique edition of the Sunrise Festival. We invited long-awaited electronic music legends, we designed huge and beautiful stages, we expanded the town of SunCity, we improved communication channels around the festival area, we increased the number of zones, including sanitary ones… we can still list a lot of things that are still under development.

We did everything for you – the greatest audience in Poland we could ever imagine, which proved every year that we’ve created the most beautiful festival in our country. Your support, smiles, joy and satisfaction after each edition prompted us to work even harder and harder. Unfortunately, COVID-19 effectively blocked our plans.

It’s hard to believe, but considering the current worldwide situation we’ve decided to postpone Sunrise Festival 2020 to the next year. With a great sadness, but aware that your health and life are the most precious values this is the official now. We are responsible. We cannot allow situation in which any of you could be infected during our event.

New date for next edition of Sunrise Festival is July 23-25th, 2021.

The date is changing, but we will do our best to keep the current prepared lineup unchanged. We want all the already announced artists so far and all still uncovered to play the same day/same time slot we’ve planned for this year. All purchased tickets will remain valid for 2021 edition. We will not leave anyone without support and we will try to answers all your questions. All ticket owners will receive detailed information in email in coming couple of days – stay calm.

Please be informed that the organization of such a huge event is correlated with gigantic costs many months before the event. We have already signed dozens of contracts with artists, we produce scenography and decoration elements, we carry out construction works at the festival area. Without your help, we may not survive, so please – if you don’t have to, don’t return your tickets and join our action #keeptheticket. You can trust us – your decision to not return tickets will be worth it and you will not be disappointed. Because of the festival date change we are preparing additional bonuses for those who will keep the ticket. Thanks to your support we will be able to continue our work for one and only Sunrise Festival in this part of Europe.

This is a very difficult time not only for us, but also for our cooperating companies, friends, many artists and subcontractors, that is why we have to unite. The event industry is one of the most affected market during this hard time. During 17 years history we’ve been all building a brand which we are strongly connected with now and for the future. Without you, the history of the Sunrise Festival can easily end.

Help us survive this hard time, and next year – with our 18th edition of Sunrise Festival we will come back stronger than ever! “Every cloud has a silver lining” mentioned by DJ Kris many time while he was playing in the amphitheater. Let this sentence guide us all during this hard time.

Many years have passed together. We have become one, a family. We believe that we will triumph collectively next year. Together. Because only united together we are able to overcome this extremely difficult time. The time that took us the joy of life, took us the happiness and a smile from our faces. It will all come back, we just have to be strong for a little longer.

Follow The local authorities guidance. Wash your hands, keep your distance and if you can – stay at home. A better tomorrow will come much faster.
